12 miles to Squaw Creek elevation 9,808’
Pretty uneventful day. The day started off with a short climb out of the valleys at the top where we saw the “alien” in the cliffs. From there it was up and down with views of the Arkansas River Valley below. We quickly made it to Browns Creek and had lunch. It was then another 5 or so miles to our camp for the night. We took our sweet time with lots of breaks and made it to camp around 4:30pm.
After setting up camp it was time for our nightly rinse in the creek. The rest of the evening was spent staring at the maps again. Tomorrow is “town day” – showers, laundry, and resupply at the RV Park!
