For years we had seen the Wintergreen Northern Apparel store when we were in Ely Minnesota before or after a Boundary Waters canoe trek. Their locally made gear is highly functional and uniquely styled. During September of 2020 we became aware that Wintergreen also organizes dogsled activities at many levels and including a 5 day “Advanced Camping Expedition” into the heart of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness … we signed up for a trip in January 2021 and began preparing for possibly the coldest temperatures we’ve ever encountered!
