Epic day today! We got on the trail at 7:11 am and made camp at 6:35 pm. In between all of that we hiked in Lyell canyon for about 9 miles and then it was a long brutal climb over Donahue pass (11,073’). The view back to where we came from was awesome. We also saw some of the mountains and valleys that we will be traveling in the next couple of weeks. Our camp was in a cirque about a mile below the pass amongst the streams and rocks. Curious marmots circled our camp.
Total miles traveled today was 14 miles!!!!
